About Me

Loren Lee (PhD)

Camping LorenI’m an experienced meditator with an eclectic practice.  A lover of life, playful adventurer, wilful drifter and free spirit.  I’m passionate about people and nature, personal growth and being truly present as life unfolds in its many wondrous ways.

I have been meditating for 16 years (various traditions) and during this time I have participated in courses as far ranging as mindfulness, Vipassana, tai chi, yoga, Buddhism, ethics, life coaching and peer education (certified to train others), sustainable development and well-being.

I’ve run workshops for both adults and teenagers in meditation (a wide range of courses), life mandalas, life coaching, well-being and sustainable development. I also run meditation retreats, focusing mainly on mindfulness practices and also introducing some of the theory that underpins these simple and transformative techniques.

I’m also a performance poet, having performed at a wide range of festivals as well as whilst travelling the globe.

My philosophy, vision and practices have been as much influenced by the hugely diverse life experiences I’ve been blessed to encounter as through my ‘practice’.  I’ve travelled the globe, have lived in Africa for two and a half years, hold a PhD from Cambridge University and now run a small charity focusing on empowering people in Africa to make the changes they want to see in their own lives.  I walk in nature often-she is one of my greatest teachers.  I spend summer time embedding myself in festival life and have found great joy working for charities, volunteering, dancing, playing, spending quality time with my loved ones, writing, reading, seizing all the beautiful opportunities which come my way.

One of my many passions is conveying what I’ve learnt along this incredible journey of life to others in the hope that they too will experience the simple joyfulness of living in awareness moment to moment.  I have no doubt that I will learn as much from those who I’m fortunate enough to meet along the way as they will from me.  To me, it is in connecting with others honestly and lovingly that we can really begin to grow and evolve.

I hope that you will join me on this ever evolving journey.
