Meditation

MeditationbI run courses in a variety of meditation practices, specialising in mindfulness based practices which aim to increase awareness, concentration and your sense of well-being.  Mindfulness practices have been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, dampen cravings, lower blood pressure, minimise depression and enable people to understand their thoughts and emotions and therefore respond to them more appropriately.

I also explore Vipassana practices, which focus on developing insight into the nature of reality and the exploration of truth and compassion based practices which aim to help you tap into the ever present spirit of loving kindness for both yourself and others whilst increasing empathy and stimulating a desire to make a positive contribution in the world.

As well as teaching meditation, meditation courses provide you with a series of tools and techniques which can help deepen meditation practice by exploring themes as varied as posture, creativity, being able to sit with your emotions, broadening and focusing awareness and many other topics that remind us that meditation is an art which can be developed and deepened over time for maximum benefit.

I also explore various philosophies which underpin meditation practice and provide opportunities to share your experience with others, ask questions and make new friends with common aspirations.
